Sliding doors preserve floor space and span wider openings, which usually means fewer doors and a lower cost. Hinged Shaker doors give the premium Hamptons look and full visibility into the wardrobe, but need clearance to open. If your bed sits close to the wardrobe wall, sliding is usually the smarter call.
